Suspect Arrested After Fleeing Napa Police
That commotion near the Alphabet streets Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old man who threw and broke a meth pipe before fleeing on his bike, according to police.
A 36-year-old Napa man was arrested Saturday evening on suspicion of resisting an officer, possessing a controlled substance and destroying evidence, all misdemeanors according to his booking report.
According to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:
On 11/17/12 about 1840 hours an Officer attempted to stop Anthony San Filippo 02/12/66 of Napa for riding a bicycle without a light at night in the area of Georgia St./H St.

San Filippo threw a methamphetamine pipe which broke and fled on the bicycle. A perimeter was established in the area.
An Officer located San Filippo hiding behind a building in the area of Marin St./Lincoln Ave. He was taken into custody and booked at NCDC.
