Brock Daniels Released on Bail; Pleads Not Guilty to Charges

Napa County Court records show Daniels was released Tuesday afternoon.

Brock Daniels, a former Vintage High substitute teacher and strength and conditioning coach was released on bail at 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17 according to Napa County Court records.

According to a report in the Napa Valley Register, Daniels' bail was lowered from $1 million to $250,000 on Tuesday after Napa County Superior Court Judge J. Michael Byrne recieved "three dozen letters from friends, parents and others, according to court records." The Register's report also included a quote from Napa Valley Unified School District Superintendent Patrick Sweeney who said Daniels no longer works for the district.

The Register's report also said pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.  on July 10 on suspicion of sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, electronic communication with a minor with intent to meet for sexual contact, meeting with a minor for sexual contact and child annoying/molesting according to a press release from Sgt. Chase Haag of the  investigations division:

Between November 2010 and June 2012, Brock Daniels, was alleged to have had a sexual relationship with two females under the age of 18.

Daniels, a substitute teacher and coach at  met the victims through a social networking site.

He contacted the victims and arranged meetings with them at his private residence. During the encounters, sexual acts occurred.

The case was reviewed by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office and an arrest warrant was issued for Daniels.

On 7/10/12, at 1230 hours, Daniels was taken into custody at the Napa Police Department.
