Substitute Teacher, 26, Accused of Sex with Teens in Napa: $1 Million Bail

Brock Daniels, a substitute teacher and coach at Vintage High School, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of charges stemming from sexual relationships with two girls under the age of 18, Napa police say. His bail is set at $1 million.

A 26-year-old subsitute teacher and coach was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, electronic communication with a minor with intent to meet for sexual contact, meeting with a minor for sexual contact and child annoying/molesting, according to a press release from Sgt. Chase Haag of the investigations division:

Between November 2010 and June 2012, Brock Daniels, was alleged to have had a sexual relationship with two females under the age of 18.

Daniels, a substitute teacher and coach at met the victims through a social networking site.

He contacted the victims and arranged meetings with them at his private residence. During the encounters, sexual acts occurred.

The case was reviewed by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office and an arrest warrant was issued for Daniels.

On 7/10/12, at 1230 hours, Daniels was taken into custody at the Napa Police Department.

He was booked at the for the above charges and his bail was set at $1,000,000.

Daniels met the girls at his home on Wise Drive, Haag said. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

The  reports that the girls with whom Daniels is accused of having sex were 15 and 16 at the time of the alleged crimes.

Brock Daniels is the strength and conditioning coach at Vintage High School in Napa, Ca. He oversees the football, volleyball, softball, and throwing programs while assisting with the wrestling, tennis, and basketball teams.

Daniels has been at VHS since September 2009 and previously served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Cal Poly where he graduated with a bachelors degree in kinesiology and interned as well. There, he oversaw the softball and women’s basketball programs and provided assistance with the football, volleyball and women’s soccer programs.

Daniels played NCAA Divsion I football for the Mustangs at Cal Poly University from ’06-’09, during his senior season the team would go on to be ranked as high as 3rd in the nation in NCAA-FCS football polls.

Daniels also has playing experience in basketball, wrestling, baseball, golf, discus & shotput. Not to mention Daniels has training familiarity in Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, (holds or currently held 3 state records),  periodization program designing, TRX suspension training, strongman, and police/emergency/military PFTs.
