St. Helena PD Reports Attempted Lawn Ornament Theft, Construction Hiatus

Thursday's report has useful info as well as traffic stops

The daily media bulletin issued by the St. Helena Police Department had the usual assortment of traffic stops, false alarms and fender benders, along with two Information alerts worth noting.

At 2:20 p.m., Thursday Dec. 20, a resident on Saint James Dr. caught two middle school aged girls, both with blonde shoulder length hair, attempting to steal her Christmas lawn ornaments. As there was no property lost, the report was filed for information purposes only.

At 4:02 p.m., officers noted that construction on the 100 block of Main St. between Pope and Grayson will be through after today for the holidays. Crews will return after the holidays to try a new approach to better clear up lanes for traffic.

Also, at 5:32 p.m., officers assisted a woman on Railroad Ave. who had locked keys in her car, along with a 3-month old child. Both were recovered.
