Small Fire in Napa Nursing Home

Some patients temporarily moved from 120-bed facility

A malfunctioning light fixture caused a fire in the bathroom of the nursing facility in Napa yesterday morning.

Jay Evans, the executive director of the 120-bed facility at 705 Trancas St., said about 30 patients were temporarily moved to other areas of the facility.

A sprinkler in the bathroom quickly doused the fire, Evans said.
