Reward for Arrest of Man in Holdup at Napa Flyers

Napa Valley Crime Stoppers now includes the city of Napa, where police hope someone recognizes the person in these security-camera photos of the man who held up Flyer's at knifepoint last May.

The knife-wielding man who robbed the gas station in north Napa last May is still at large, according to ’s Deputy Jon Thompson.

, a nonprofit foundation that works with local media and law enforcement to capture wanted criminals, is offering cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to the robber’s arrest, Thompson said.

“This is the first open case we have had the chance to run” in the Crime Stoppers program, he added.

The Flyers security camera caught several images of the man, and Thompson passed on the following information about the case from the investigations division of the :

On 5/11/11, at approximately 2200 hours, an adult male entered the Flyers gas station on Trancas and Jefferson St. He walked up to the counter and asked for a pack of cigarettes.

When the clerk turned back around, the suspect brandished a knife and told her to give him all the money in the register. Suspect exited the store and travelled westbound towards .

Witnesses in the area described 2 Hispanic male adults sitting in a brown or tan colored 4-door sedan, late 90’s model or early 2000’s, possibly a Honda or Toyota. 

The vehicle was parked on the north side of the gas station in the Lucky’s parking lot.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male adult, approximately 20 – 25, 5-09 to 5-11, approx. 190 – 200 lbs. 

He was wearing baggy jeans, a white zip-up jacket with a distinct black logo on the upper back, and “Vans” shoes. He was wearing a black beanie cap with a blue, yellow and red stripe on it.

Anonymous tips leading to the robber's arrest are eligible for no-questions-asked cash payments of up to $1,000 from Napa Valley Crime Stoppers.
