Reported for Stealing, Busted for Coke

An East Bay man won't be prosecuted for shoplifting from a Napa Premium Outlets store, but faces a violation of the state health and safety code for allegedly carrying cocaine.

A 39-year-old Oakland man was arrested for possessing cocaine Monday night after he was reported to have stolen merchandise from a Napa store at about 8:20 p.m., according to a shift activity log released by the :

NPD Officers responded to a report of a theft that just occurred from the with the suspects leaving in a vehicle.

The vehicle was located and stopped by a NPD Officer near SR-29 and Airport Rd.

The driver of the vehicle, Sylvester Lyons Jr (7/11/72) of Oakland was found to be in possession of cocaine.

The stolen property was located and returned to the Outlets stores and prosecution was declined.
