Napa Residents Invited to Fire Station No. 5 Workshop

Officials want to hear from locals regarding design of the planned fifth fire station.

A community workshop for the design of the future Fire Station No. 5 will be held April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 930 Seminary Street in Napa.

Public input is sought on the design and construction presentation, and the City will answer questions.

The proposed fire station will be built on a half-acre parcel at the corner of Browns Valley Road and Laurel Street and will provide improved emergency service to Browns Valley and other areas within the City of Napa.

Alan Kawasaki of Shah Kawasaki Architects, with assistance from City Fire Department, Public Works and Planning staff, will lead an interactive workshop intended to result in feedback from the public that can be incorporated into the project design.

The goal is to provide a building that not only creates an appropriate civic statement, but is also aesthetically pleasing and maintains architectural features that fit within the context of the surrounding neighborhood.
