Probation Stop Lands Napa Men in Jail

Two young men riding in a car early Wednesday were arrested after a Napa police office recognized the driver and pulled him over, authorities say. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

A traffic stop at about 12:35 Wednesday morning resulted in the arrests of two Napa men, identified as 25-year-old Anthony Uraza and 24-year-old Christian Salinas, on suspicion of drug charges, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

Uraza (driver) and Salinas (passenger) were driving north on Freeway Drive at Elm St. when they passed an officer going southbound on Freeway Dr. The officer recognized Uraza from previous contacts and knew he was on probation with search and seizure terms.

The officer made a U-turn and pulled behind Uraza as has he pulled into the Factory Outlets. At this time the officer stopped Uraza based upon the terms of his probation.
