POLICE: Domestic Violence, Assault, Terrorist Threats

Napa police make multiple arrests this week.


 A 43-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of assault and parole violation.

Napa Police took James Peters into custody at about 3:30 p.m. at Third and Burnell streets in Napa.

Police said Peters' arrest was in connection with an alleged incident that occurred around 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Chevron Station parking lot at Soscol Avenue and Imola streets in Napa.

A Napa police officer spoke Tuesday morning with the victim who was at Queen of the Valley Hospital being treated for fractures to the left and right orbital bones.

The victim told the officer that he was at the Chevron Station parking lot with his girlfriend when a person he knows at James Peters allegedly walked up to him and starting kicking him in the head numerous times.

The victim lost consciousness, when he woke up he went back to his homeless camp.

The next morning the victim was in a lot of pain and had visible bruising and swelling. It is unknown why Peters would have walked  up to the victim and started kicking him.

On Thursday, Aug. 29 at about 3:30 p.m., the Napa Police officer investigating the incident located Peters at Third and Burnell streets

Peters was arrested and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.

Two men were arrested Thursday on suspicion of larceny and on outstanding warrants.

 Christopher Villanueva, 31, and Dennis Tobin, 35, were arrested at about 4 p.m. in the 2100 block of Locust Drive in Napa.

At that time, Napa Police officers accompanied Napa County Probation Department  officers to the 2100 block of Locust Drive to conduct a probation search at this residence.

At the residence, 25 oxycodone pills were allegedly located in a jacket belonging to Tobin.

Christopher Villanueva was also contacted at the house, He had several Napa County arrests warrants.

Villanueva had removed his Napa County alcohol ankle bracelet from his person about one week ago. The bracelet is valued at $1,500.

Villanueva told police he does not know where the bracelet is.

Both men were arrested and booked at NCDC.

 A 22 year old Yolo County man was arrested by Napa Police just before 10 a.m. Friday, today, on suspicion of larceny, burglary and terrorizing threats.

Daniel Wright was taken into custody at a home in the 1800 block of Silverado Trail in Napa.

On Friday at 9:48 a.m.  an employee of the Cope Center in the 1300 block of 4th Street in Napa had located Wright inside the closed business.

Wright had stated he was waiting for his girlfriend (the victim) who works at the business.

The victim does not work at this location but had seeking their services.

The victim had reported to Yolo County law enforcement that she had been badly beaten up on Aug. 24 by Wright. It is believed that Wright followed her to Napa at the Cope Center.

After the victim reported the domestic violence to Yolo County law enforcement, the victim said Wright had allegedly threatened to kill her and broke into her apartment.

Wright was later located at the Napa City-County Library on Division Street.

He was arrested and booked at NCDC.

 A man was arrested early today, Friday, Aug. 30, on suspicion of spousal abuse and domestic violence.

Dion Nathan Gallegos was taken into custody at 12:47 a.m. at a home in the 3100 block of Jefferson Street in Napa.

Officers responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident in the 3100 block of Jefferson Street.

When officers arrived, they were checking the area for the people involved. Near the center of the trailer park, the officers could hear yelling.

A Napa Police officer observed Gallegos allegedly push and hit the victim once in the face. While the officer was running towards the victim and suspect to provide aid, Gallegos forcibly pushed the victim to the ground.

When the officer came within a couple of feet of Gallegos, Gallegos complied with the officer and he was taken into custody.

The victim declined medical attention but had sustained swelling, bruising and a large lump to the right side of her face.

She also had road rash on her left arm and leg. Dion was arrested and booked at NCDC.
