Police: Suspect Arrested in Fairfield for Napa Homicide

An update from the City of Napa Police Department on the investigation into the death of Robin Ward, 51, whose body was found Friday afternoon.

A suspect in the killing of 51-year-old Robin Ward was arrested in Fairfield early Saturday, according to an update from the City of Napa Police Department:

On September 28, 2012 at approximately 4:13 PM, Napa Fire Department was dispatched to a medical emergency in the 100 block of Almond Ave. Napa Fire personnel arrived on scene and determined the Mr. Ward was deceased and the circumstances surrounding his death were unusual. Napa Police Investigators were summoned to the scene and determined the victim’s death was a result of homicide.

The Napa County Major Crimes Task Force (comprised of the Napa Police Department, Napa County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol, Calistoga Police Department and the Napa County District Attorney’s Office) conducted the investigation. Investigators have and continue to conduct interviews of potential witnesses.

The suspect was identified, located and arrested in Fairfield early this morning.
