A Napa parolee is back in jail after admitting he was the man a Belvedere Court resident heard trying to force his way into the home Monday morning, according to a from the :
At 1002 hours, a resident in the area of Belvedere Court called Napa Police to report an attempted residential burglary that had just occurred. The victim advised dispatch that an unknown male had knocked on the resident’s front door, but the victim did not answer. A short time later, the victim could hear someone attempting to force entry into the residence via a side door. The resident made his presence known and the suspect fled. A description was broadcast to responding units and an officer located a male with a similar physical description and articles of clothing as described by the victim in the immediate vicinity.
The male, Ryan Trojan, 33 yrs, Napa resident, was determined to be on parole for a first-degree burglary conviction out of Placer County. He was positively identified in an in-field show up by the victim. During an interview, the male admitted to attempting to burglarize the residence and burglary tools were located a short distance from where the suspect was initially stopped.

He was arrested for Attempted Residential Burglary; Possession of Burglary Tools; and Violation of Parole.
Trojan was booked into the "without further incident," according to the press release distributed to the media Monday afternoon by Napa Police Sgt. Amy Hunter.
