Police: Napa Man Trashes Parents' House, Torches Porch
A 27-year-old Napa man was jailed Thursday evening after allegedly vandalizing his parents' Alta Heights home and setting fire to their porch, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
Vlad Mateescu, 27, was arrested Thursday at his parents' trashed home in Alta Heights on suspicion of vandalism, arson and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:
On 12/6/2012, at approximately 1845hrs NPD officers responded to the 1400 block of Hill Ave in the City of Napa for a report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, Vlad Mateescu was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He had vandalized the interior of his parent’s home causing significant damage. He had set fire to the front porch of the residence.

Mateescu was arrested and booked at NCDC.
