POLICE LOG: Cocaine, Heroin Possession

Napa Police arrest suspects.

 

A 28-year-old Napa man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of possession of cocaine and probation violation.

Joel Enrique Hernandez was taken into custody at about 10 p.m. Friday at 2440 Old Sonoma Road, Napa.

According to the police log, officers saw Joel Hernandez riding a bicycle erratically within the apartment complex at 2400 Old Sonoma Road.

The officers stopped and contacted Hernandez. When asked if he could be searched by the officers, Hernandez stated they could and admitted to being in possession of cocaine. Officers located a small plastic baggie containing suspected cocaine in Hernandez’s wallet.

Hernandez was arrested for being in possession of cocaine as well as a warrant for violation of probation out of Marin County. Hernandez was booked.

A 59-year-old Napa man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic needle/syringe.

Wayne Garcia was taken into custody at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of Laurel Street in Napa.

According to the police log, Napa Fire Department responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Laurel Street to an apparent overdose.

Garcia was found unconscious in his bathroom with a small quantity of suspected Heroin and a syringe nearby. Officers arrived on scene and collected the suspected heroin and syringe.

Garcia was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment and later arrested for possession of narcotics and possession of hypodermic needle. Garcia was booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.
