Police Log: Bogus $20 Bill Lands Napa Man in Jail

A late-night call from a convenience-store clerk resulted in the arrest of a Napa man for passing counterfeit currency, according to a media log released Wednesday evening by the :

At about 2326 hours, the clerk at the , 985 Lincoln, called to report a subject trying to pass a fake twenty dollar bill.  Upon officers arrival, they located KARTES, HANS DANIEL 29 years, Napa Resident, in the area. He was identified as the subject passing the fake bill.

Kartes was arrested and booked for burglary and passing fictitious bills, according to the report.
