A Napa man was hospitalized with head injuries after he was attacked and beaten by a stranger in a Bel Aire Plaza parking lot Friday afternoon, according to a shift activity log released by the :
At about 1235 hours, officers were dispatched with the fire department to the parking lot between and in Bel Aire Plaza for an assault victim.
The victim was attacked by an unknown suspect with a baseball bat.
The victim received injuries to his head and was transported to ER by for treatment.
His condition was stable at the time of this press log.
The suspect was identified through the police department’s investigation and located in the area of 1st St and Matt Dr.
The suspect was identified as Glenn Michael Nunley II, 12-14-78, Napa Resident.
He was arrested and booked for attempted murder and violation of his parole.
During the same hour and not far away in north Napa, a motorcycle officer was injured by a bicycle-riding transient, according to the log:
At about 1256 hours, a citizen called to report a possible domestic battery in the area of Soscol and Trancas between a male and a female.
Officers located the two involved parties at the bus stop south of Trancas on Soscol.
The male half, Tracy Fowler, 8-11-65, Transient, fled from police on a bicycle through an alley behind .
During the pursuit, Fowler kicked a motor officer’s motorcycle causing the officer to crash.
The suspect ran into a tree and fled on foot.
He was caught by other officers on the north side of Nob Hill Foods and arrested.
He was arrested for the above charges and violation of parole and booked.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the Queen.
