Napa Dispatch advised that the occupants of one of the vehicles had fled the scene on foot and that the driver of the vehicle was currently fleeing southbound on Coombs Stree

Officers drove toward this area eastbound on Oak Street. As they were driving past Randolph Street at Oak Street, they saw a citizen witness chasing a subject, later identified as Miguel Guerra.

Officers stopped their patrol vehicle in front of Guerra and took him into custody.

The witness stated that Guerra was the driver of the vehicle that had collided into his vehicle. Immediately following the collision, Guerra he fled on foot with the witness in pursuit.

Guerra was searched and officers located a handgun protruding through the top portion of his left front pants pocket. The handgun was allegedly loaded with five live cartridges, police said.

In the same pocket, officers located a clear piece of plastic. This piece of plastic contained nine separate individual small zip lock-style baggies. All nine baggies contained a white crystalline substance of suspected methamphetamine.

Officers spoke with Guerra and he admitted to being a gang member out of Vallejo.  As officer spoke with Guerra they noticed he displayed signs of being intoxicated.

After evaluating Guerra, officers determined he was allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. Guerra was arrested and booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.

Other officers began canvassing the area for the other subjects and located Angel Olea, kneeling down near a concrete wall on the river trail, as if he was attempting to conceal himself from the officer.

The officer contacted Olea and noticed he was profusely sweating and breathing heavily. The officer asked him if he had just run from a vehicle collision, and he stated that he did. Olea told the officer he bumped his head during the collision and fled on foot because he was nervous.

Olea was allegedly intoxicated and was found to be on probation. He was arrested and transported to Napa County Department of Corrections where he was booked.
