Police: Joyriding Girls Arrested after Crashing Stolen Van

The two 15-year-olds were treated at Queen of the Valley before checking in at Juvenile Hall.

Two 15-year-old girls were arrested early Sept. 11 after speeding away from a police cruiser, according to a press release from the :

At about midnight a Napa PD officer observed a green Ford minivan driving north on Main Street near Central Avenue without its headlights on. 

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and it sped away.

The suspect vehicle turned onto eastbound Pueblo Avenue and attempted to turn onto southbound Adrian Street. 

The driver of the minivan lost control and collided into a parked car.

The minivan and parked car ended up in the front yard of 2690 Adrian Street. 

No one in the house was injured.

The driver, a 15-year-old female, and a Napa resident, and her 15- year-old, female passenger, also a Napa resident, were apprehended at the scene. 

The vehicle was found to be an unreported stolen vehicle from Napa.

Both occupants were treated and released at . 

The driver was booked into Juvenile hall for possession of stolen property; evading police; conspiracy and an outstanding felony warrant.

Her passenger was booked into Juvenile Hall for conspiracy and possession of stolen property, police said.
