Police: Gang Fight in Napa, 2 Arrests

An 18-year-old from Napa and a 20-year-old from Concord were jailed after a reported fight near the Boys and Girls Club: Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

On 08/10/2011 at 7:30 PM Napa Police Officers Responded to a reported gang fight in the area of Pueblo Avenue and Brown Street.

A witness provided additional information that the involved parties were seen running from the area toward the Boys and Girls Club on Pueblo Avenue. 

The same witness provided basic descriptions. 

Officers arrived and detained several subjects that matched the descriptions provided.

All of the detained subjects had prior gang-related contacts and two were on probation out of Napa County with specific terms to not associate with known gang members.

One of the subjects had a fixed-blade knife in his pants pocket.

Rene Yanez, 20, of Concord was arrested for possession of a weapon, being involved in a gang crime and violation of probation and 18-year-old Ignacio Castro of Napa was arrested for violation of probation, according to police.
