Napa Couple Fights Over Medical Pot; Man Arrested

Woman receives minor injury in domestic dispute.

A 28-year-old Napa man was arrested this week after a fight with his partner over medical marijuana.

Oscar Navarro was taken into custody at about 5 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of domestic violence with minor injury and probation violation at a home in the 100 block of Freeway Drive in Napa.

The incident began when officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic violence incident at a residence in the 100 block of Freeway Drive.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Navarro was in process of moving out of the residence he shared with a woman, who was not identified.

Police said Navarro was gathering up his belongings and the woman allegedly took Oscar’s medical marijuana and would not give it back.

The pair fought over the marijuana and the woman received a minor laceration to her finger she said was a result of that struggle.

Navarro was arrested and booked.
