POLICE: Domestic Violence, Street Gang Issues, Firearm Violations, More

More than a dozen arrests from Friday through the weekend.

A 29-year-old Sacramento-area transient was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after police allege he injured his girlfriend in an argument.

Reford Grant Evans was taken into custody at about 9 a.m. Friday in a home in the 2400 block of Old Sonoma Road in Napa, police said.

Police said Evan got into an argument with his girlfriend at that location.  During the argument, he pushed her twice, allegedly causing visible injuries that did not need immediate medical attention, police said.

Evans had multiple warrants out of Sacramento County.

Evans was arrested and booked.

 A 28-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and probation violation after police allegedly found a small bag of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket.

Ernie Victor Solis was taken into custody at about 3:4r p.m. Friday in the vicinity of Oak and Seminary streets in Napa.

Police said officers were driving on Oak Street approaching Seminary Street, when they saw Solis standing inside Fuller Park at the southwest corner of the intersection of Oak Street and Seminary Street.

Officers know Solis from prior contacts, police said. 

Officers stopped and contacted Solis. They learned Solis was on active probation out of Napa County.

A voluntary search of Solis allegedly resulted in officers finding a small amount of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket.

Solis was arrested and booked.

A 21-year-old Napa woman was arrested on suspicion of felony use of force and violation of a bail release agreement after police allege she grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened another person with it.

Alexis Burgos was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. Friday at a home in the 90 block of Belvedere Court in Napa

Police said officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 90 block of Belvedere Court. Officers contacted the victim, who is Burgos’ caretaker.

 The victim stated Burgos grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened to harm herself, police said.

When the victim attempted to take the knife, Burgos told the victim to stay away and allegedly made stabbing motions towards the victim,  police said. The victim left the residence and called police.

Burgos was contacted at the residence on Belvedere Ct. and was taken into custody.

Officers learned Burgos was released from jail on her own recognizance agreement in June of 2013, with a term to obey all laws.

Burgos was booked.

 A 19-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun, being a street gang member in possession of a firearm, altering a firearm ID and carrying a loaded firearm in public.

Francisco Carrillo Jr. was taken into custody at 5:12 p.m. Friday in the vicinity of Elm Street and Freeway Drive in Napa.

Police said officers were traveling southbound on Freeway Drive, approaching Imola Avenue, when they saw a green-colored Toyota van turn northbound onto Freeway Drive from westbound Imola Avenue.

The officers immediately recognized the front right passenger as Daniel Prado. Officers know Prado from numerous police contacts and know he is a documented gang member.

Officer also knew he is currently on juvenile probation out of Napa County with standard gang terms and a search and seizure clause.

 The officers made a U-turn and stopped the vehicle with the intent of conducting a search of Prado. Officers contacted the driver of this vehicle, who was identified as Francisco Carrillo.

Prado was searched and nothing was illegal was located. Carrillo agreed to be voluntarily searched and he was not in possession of anything illegal.

With the consent of Carrillo, his vehicle was searched. The search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in officers finding a loaded sawed off .22 caliber rifle. The serial number to the rifle had been ground off, police said.

Additionally, officers located several items allegedly indicating that Carrillo was a gang member.

Carrillo was taken into custody and booked.

An 18-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, probation violation and disobeying juvenile court orders.

Martin Castro was taken into custody at 8:12 p.m. Friday at 660 Silverado Trail in Napa, near the Napa Valley Expo fairgrounds, the site of the recent Napa Town & Country Fair.

 Police said officers contacted Castro as he and three other people were walking along Silverado Trail, just outside of the fairgrounds fence.

Castro allegedly appeared to be intoxicated, police said.

A records check showed Castro is on active probation out of Napa County with gang terms that state he is not to possess any gang paraphernalia and that he is to obey all laws.

A search of Castro resulted in officers finding numerous pictures of Castro displaying gang signs.

Castro was arrested and booked.

A 51-year-old Napa area transient was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of drug possession and committing a felony while on bail.

Raul Pino Sr. was taken into custody at about 12:30 a.m. at a home in the  1700 block of Pueblo Avenue in Napa.

Officers went to a residence in the 1700 Block of Pueblo Avenue in order to serve a felony arrest warrant on Pino.

Upon arrival, Pino was contacted in the residence and taken into custody. He was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and confirmed to be released from jail on bail for a prior felony offense, police said.

He was arrested and booked.

 A 32-year-old Napa man was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of
felony use of force, domestic violence, threatening with intent to terrorize, parole violation and false imprisonment with violence.

Charles Earl Bonge was taken into custody at a home in the  1400 block of Division Street in Napa.

 

Police said officers were dispatched to a disturbance occurring at a residence in the 1400 block of Division Street.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Bonge hit and kicked the victim multiple times during an argument, causing injury to the victim, police said.

Additionally, it is alleged that Bonge held a knife to the victim’s neck during the argument and made threats to a witness of this incident.  Medical attention was declined by the victim.

Bonge is on parole and a hold was issued by State Parole. Bonge was arrested and booked.

A 57-year-old Napa man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of spousal battery and false imprisonment with violence.

John Gary Delao was taken into custody at 10:40 p.m. at a home in the  3600 block of Solano Avenue in Napa

Police said officers were dispatched to a domestic violence report at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Solano Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted Delao in the parking lot of the complex and they contacted the victim in the apartment.

The victim stated that she and Delao were involved in an argument. The victim shoved Delao several times in order to get Delao to back away from her, police said.

Delao then allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and held her to the ground by straddling her and pinning her shoulders, police said.

Delao allegedly would not allow her to get up. The victim screamed for help and her teenage children came into the room. At this time, Delao let her up and he left the residence.

Delao was arrested and booked.

A 23-year-old Cobb, California woman was arrested Sunday by Napa Police on suspicion of domestic violence.

Dawn Shroyer was taken into custody at 2:23 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of Brown Street in Napa.

Police said officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Brown Street for a report that Shroyer had just struck the victim.

The victim reported that Shroyer was the mother of their 10-month-old child and they were trying to reconcile their relationship.

He told police he felt if he went back inside, Shroyer would hit him again, police said.

Officers arrived on the scene and contacted the victim. The victim had a visible injury that did not require immediate medical attention.

The victim confirmed the injury was caused by Shroyer, police said.

Shroyer was contacted at the residence and taken into custody and booked.

A 35-year-old Napa man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI.

Rafael Uribe was taken into custody at about 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Third and Burnell streets in Napa

Police said Uribe was driving westbound on Third Street near Burnell Street.

At this time, a vehicle in front of him slowed for stopped traffic. Uribe allegedly did not slow or stop and rear-ended this vehicle, pushing it into another stopped vehicle.

Officers contacted Uribe at the scene and he allegedly displayed signs of being intoxicated.

Uribe was evaluated by officers and it was determined he was impaired while driving, police said.

Uribe was arrested and booked.

 A 45-year-old Napa man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI, giving false ID to police, DUI with prior conviction, probation violation and driving with a suspended license.

Jorge Arturo Nava was taken into custody at 8:45 p.m. in the vicinity of Juarez and Post streets in Napa.

Police said officers were dispatched to a disturbance occurring on Post Street west of Juarez Street.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Nava was involved in a minor collision. Nava was driving northbound on Juarez when he slightly drifted into the lane of an oncoming vehicle, causing the mirrors of each vehicle to collide. 

Officers contacted Nava, who allegedly displayed signs of being intoxicated, police said.

Nava was evaluated by the officers and he was allegedly determined to be impaired. 

Additionally, officers learned Nava's license was suspended, he had three prior convictions for DUI in 09’, 11’, 12’ and he was on two active probations.

When initially contacted by officers, Nava allegedly gave a different first name, police said.

Nava was arrested and booked.
