Police Arrest Two Men Early Friday Morning on Suspicion of Separate Domestic Violence Incidents

The Napa Police Department took two individuals into custody during two separate domestic violence incidents early Friday morning.

The Napa Police Department was busy Friday morning responding to domestic violence calls.

A Napa man went to jail early Friday morning on suspicion of domestic violence.

Napa Police officers went to a home on the 2200 block of Marin Street at 3 a.m.,in response to a call of domestic violence. The officers discovered that Melquiades Cruz-Marin, 29, allegedly pushed and slapped a female victim, causing her a head laceration. The officers took Cruz-Marin into custody and transported him to jail.

An emergency protective order was granted and served in this case, according to police.

Later on in the morning, in a separate incident at 4:29 a.m., Napa Police officers arrested Juan Barrara, 28, on suspicion of domestic violence after he allegedly hit a woman with a belt and threw hot food items on her. The woman sustained minor burns and the officers took Barrara into custody from his Lugo Lane home and took him to jail.
