Police Arrest Parolee for I.D. Theft, Prescription Fraud

Arrest information from the Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

A 42-year-old Santa Rosa man was arrested Saturday morning after personnel at a north Napa medical facility reported he was trying to fill a drug prescription under an assumed name, according to a shift activity log released by the :

On 101511 at approximately 0714 hours Officers were dispatched to a medical facility in the 1000 block of Trancas Street for a report of a subject who had provided false identifying information to medical personnel. 

Officers were able to determine the subject’s true identity and found that Myers Monigan (11/07/1968 of Santa Rosa) had used a false name and social security number in order to obtain controlled substances from medical personnel.

Monigan is on parole and was arrested for burglary, identity theft, parole violation and trying to obtain a controlled substance by fraud, according to police.
