Police in Fairfield made four arrests for an attempted home burglary on Friday.

Officers responded to a report of a possible residential burglary in the 2900 block of Juniper Street, police said.

Police said the resident of the home told officers that someone rang the door bell and when he didn't answer, the person jumped the fence and attempted to enter the home through a window.

The resident confronted the intruder who then fled in a silver SUV with three other people, according to police.

Officers were able to track down the car and after the resident positively identified the suspects they were arrested, police said.

Police arrested 18-year-old Claudio Gutierrez of Suisun City and three 16 and 17-year-old Fairfield residents on suspicion of attempted residential burglary and conspiracy.
