One Arrested, One at Large After Alleged Burglary Attempt in Napa
An alarm at a Napa dental office sent police after two men who ran from the area Friday night, according to a police log entry. One man was arrested with bolt cutters; the other escaped, police said.
A 44-year-old Contra Costa County man was jailed Friday night on suspicion of attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to a shift activity log released by the City of Napa Police Department:
On 6-8-12, at approximately 2316 hours, officers heard an alarm sounding in the 1200 block of Jefferson St.

While investigating the source of the alarm, officers saw two male subjects flee from the area of 1230 Jefferson St. (Eric Perez Dental Office).
Officers were able to detain S-Robert Gray (44) of El Sobrante, CA.

The second subject eluded police. A perimeter was set and one of the Napa County Sheriff Department’s K9 teams assisted in the search, but officers were not successful locating the second subject.
S-Robert Gray was found to be in possession of bolt cutters. While checking the exterior of 1230 Jefferson St, officers located a damaged lock/hasp on a shed located to the rear of the dental office.
The shed was alarmed and contained tools, according to the log. Gray was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections, police said.
