Police Log: Public Intoxication, Knife in Jail

Napa Police arrest man for multiple charges.

A 59-year-old man found lying in the roadway in Napa was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness, probation violation and bringing a weapon into the jail.

Paul Kirgiogis of Napa was booked into Napa Couty Department of Corrections after he was arrested earlier this week. The specific time and date of his arrest was not immediately available.   

Police said they Kirgiorgis was found at Division Street at Franklin Street in the roadway. 

He was intoxicated and in violation of his probation, police said. He was arrested and transported to Napa County Department of Corrections.

A fixed-blade knife was tucked into Kirgiorgis’ sock and discovered during booking. Kirgiorgis was booked for being intoxicated in public, violation of probation and bringing a weapon into a jail.

So because the arresting officer did a poor search the suspect is charged with bringing a weapon into jail. Nice way to cover your behind there, Mr. Officer.

All jail's should have a wet bar with a 3 drink minimum.This would do the customer's a better favor then a phone call.Let's also get rid of some of these worthless cop's that do nothing about crime prevention but just clean up after the crime is over.

Gotta love NPD, right Republican Kid? Just the other day you we're ranting and raving about the great "police work" NPD does. I'm pretty sure there are a whole lot of other officers that are highly qualified and don't miss those small details. That could have resulted in injuries to himself and other officers. But then again, he does have something going for him that others don't.
