POLICE LOG: Couple Arrested on Suspicion of Meth Possession

NPD arrests suspects.

A 19-year-old Vallejo woman and an 18-year-old Napa man were arrested Tuessday on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Merline Zendejas and Jose De La Cruz were taken into custoday at about 5:30 p.m. at Rite Aid, 1491 Hwy. 121, Napa.

Police said officers responded to the Rite Aid in Riverpark to a report of a male harassing a female.

Upon arrival, Jose De La Cruz and Merlina Zendejas were contacted in front of the store.

De La Cruz was confirmed to be on probation with search terms, and he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, police allege.

Zendejas had a no bail 415 warrant and was also allegedly found to in possession of methamphetamine, police said.

Both were arrested and booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.
