Police Log: 2 Suspects Arrested on Drug Possession Allegations

Napa Police arrest pair.

 

A Napa County couple were arrested this week on suspicion of drug possession and probation violation, being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Josiah Marshall, 32, and Marlene Gibson, 39, were taken into custody Thursday evening and booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections.

Police said the incident begain at about 5:35 p.m. Thursday, when Napa Police Special Enforcement Unit officers  contacted Josiah Marshall and his girlfriend, Marlene Gibson at Riverpark Shopping Center.

Marshall is on probation in Napa County. Both Marshall and Gibson showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance and admitted recent methamphetamine use.

They were both arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Both were searched incident to arrest.

Gibson was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe that still contained a usable quantity in the bulb of the pipe. She admitted to placing $20 worth of meth in the pipe earlier that day.

Gibson also had Marshall’s cigarette pack that contained hashish. Marshall told officers the hashish was his.

Both were placed under arrest and booked on the charges.
