Police Log: Napa Woman Held on Suspected Assault Charges

NPD allege woman stabbed her boyfriend.

A 22-year-old Napa woman was arrested this week after police allege she stabbed her boyfriend.

Sandyvel Delgadillo was taken into custody at 10:32 p.m. Tuesday after officers
responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Laurel regarding a subject who was stabbed with a knife by his girlfriend during an argument.

As officers arrived at the residence they were contacted by the victim, who was leaning out of a bathroom window. The victim indicated that the suspect, Delgadillo, was still in the residence and he had locked himself in the bathroom for protection.

Officers forced entry into the residence by kicking in the front door. As they entered the residence, Delgadillo came into view and began to run towards the back of the house. Officers gave commands for Delgadillo to stop, but she continued to run. A taser was deployed striking Delgadillo, causing her to fall to the ground. She was immediately taken into custody.

The victim sustained a stab wound to the hand, but refused medical attention. Delgadillo was transported to Napa County Department of Corrections where she was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, obstructing or delaying justice and violation of probation (previous drug arrest).
