Video: No Injuries Seen in 5-Car Bel Aire Collision
Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, the driver of a Lexus SUV reversed out of control in the Bel Aire Plaza parking lot, causing a chain-reaction crash that did minor damage to four other vehicles. Eyewitness Rob Doughty shares a video of the aftermath.
Five vehicles were damaged and some of their occupants shaken up Wednesday after a Lexus SUV unexpectedly accelerated in reverse through the Bel Aire Plaza Parking lot, according to eyewitness Rob (DJ Rotten Robbie) Doughty of Napa.
"I think he hit the gas instead of the brake and his steering wheel was turned and he basically did a big circle," Doughty said after the incident, which he said took place around 5 p.m.
The reversing Lexus caromed off a pickup truck and three other vehicles before coming to rest in a planter box, said Doughty, adding that its driver and passengers seemed "very shaken up."
