Update: Cigarette Blamed in Yajome Fire
Firefighters rapidly quelled a second-story blaze early Sunday morning. A newspaper report attributes the cause to careless disposal of a cigarette.
A report in the attributes the cause of Sunday morning's apartment fire to a discarded cigarette that landed in ivy growing outside the building.

Firefighters quickly controlled the fire, which caused moderate damage to a wall in a second-floor apartment. There were no injuries reported.
