Napa Woman Killed in Sunday Crash Identified

The Napa County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a in Napa on Sunday afternoon as 59-year-old Sandra Hamilton.

Hamilton, of Napa, was pronounced dead at 12:23 p.m. at the crash site at the intersection of Redwood Road and Linda Vista Avenue, sheriff's Capt. Tracey Stuart said.

Hamilton was traveling north on Linda Vista Avenue when her Toyota Avalon collided with a Ford F-350 pickup truck headed east on Redwood Road, Napa police Sgt. Brian Campagna said.

After the crash, the vehicles came to rest on the lawn of the Vintage at Napa apartments, about 10 feet from the building, Campagna said.

Hamilton's husband suffered minor to moderate injuries and was transported to the , Campagna said.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, Campagna said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but it does not appear drugs or alcohol played a role, he said.

Campagna said more information about the crash would be available Tuesday.
