Napa Woman Arrested for DUI with Meth, Police Say
Christine Houghton, 40, was jailed Sunday evening after an officer pulled her car over and found suspected methamphetamine and a pipe, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
A 40-year-old Napa woman with a history of arrests was jailed on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, DUI and violation of probation following a 7:45 p.m. traffic stop Sunday, according to a shift activity log from the City of Napa Police Department:
On 07/29/12 about 1945 hours an NPD Officer stopped the suspect, Christine Houghton 40 years old of Napa, for vehicle code violations in the area of Russell St./Shetler Ave.

Houghton displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance while operating a motor vehicle.
The Officer evaluated Houghton and arrested her for DUI.

A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe.
She was on Napa County Probation and violated the terms of her probation.
Houghton was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections, police said.
She was previously on suspicion of domestic violence and violation of probation, according to Napa police.
Houghton was also shortly after she was listed on the Crime Stoppers list of wanted fugitives as of bringing a controlled substance into the jail.
Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.
