Napa Woman Arrested for Allegedly Striking, Robbing Ex-Boyfriend
Woman allegedly was intoxicated.
A 44-year-old Napa woman was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of hitting her ex-boyfriend and taking his cell phone and wallet.
Amalia Contreras was taken into custody on suspicion of robbery, spousal batter and DUI at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday after an incident in the 2000 block of Lee Avenue in Napa.
According to the police log, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of Lee Avenue regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted the victim, a man, for a statement.
The man told officers he was asleep inside of his home on the couch when his ex-girlfriend, Contreras, came into his residence and allegedly struck him in the face as he slept.
She then allegedly proceeded to tear his pants and took his cell phone and wallet. Contreras then left the residence and drove away in her vehicle, a gold Lexus.
Officer went to Contreras’ residence in the 2200 block of Marin Street, where they contacted Contreras. As they spoke with Contreras, officers noticed that she appeared to be intoxicated.
Contreras admitted to having the man’s wallet and cell phone and turned the items over to the officers. Contreras’ adult daughter allegedly told officers she and her mother had just left the man’s home and that her mother had been driving.
Contreras was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, robbery and battery upon a former spouse.
She was booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.
