Napa Woman Arrested After Allegedly Hitting Ex With Car

Also, Napa woman arrested after argument with boyfriend.

A 23-year-old Napa woman was arrested by Napa police after a report that she allegedly intentionally drove a car into her ex-husband.

Devany Valdiva was taken into custody at about 5 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 1700 block of Third Street, according to the police log. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

On the date in question, Napa Police Department and Napa Fire Department both responded to the 1700 block of Third Street for the report of an assault with a deadly weapon-vehicle used, police said.

Valdivia and her ex-husband, Fidel Bueno, 25, of Napa, were allegedly involved in an argument. When Valdivia went to leave, Bueno spit on the hood of her car. 

Valdivia then accelerated her car toward him for about 30 feet, hitting him, police said.  Bueno did not receive any visible injuries but his left elbow was sore.

According to police, Valdivia denies intentionally hitting Bueno, stating that she was going at a slow pace when Bueno jumped on her hood and kicked the windshield smashing it.

Valdivia was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon. In addition, a case for a charge of vandalism will be filed with the Napa County District Attorney’s Office, police said.

A 40-year-old Napa woman was arrested by Napa police after an argument with her live-in boyfriend allegedly escalated to physical blows.

Delores M. Jessup was taken into Thursday on suspicion of domestic assault, police said.                           

The incident began just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, when Napa Police Department officers responded to the 1500 block of Baywood Lane for the report of a physical disturbance.

Upon arrival, Deloris Jessup was contacted. She told officers that she and her live-in boyfriend, Daniel Glantz, 54, of Napa, had allegedly gotten into an argument because Glantz thought Jessup was flirting with another man.

During the argument, Glantz pushed Jessu but did not cause her any visible injuries, police said.

Jessup allegedly was angry that she was pushed so she shoved him back causing him to fall backwards, she used her foot to trip him causing him to fall t the floor, police said.

Glantz left the house at this time and was not present at the residence when the officers were taking the report.

At about 11 a.m. Thursday, Glantz arrived at the Police Department to make a report. The subsequent investigation determined that on July 17, Jessup and her boyfriend were involved in an argument during which time Jessup allegedly had hit Glantz with her high-heel shoe, causing triangular-shaped injuries to his forearm.

Jessup was not home when officers went to contact her, but she was located at the Queen of the Valley Hospital being treated for a broken left wrist and an abrasion and bruising to her face

Jessup was arrested and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections Officers attempted to recontact Glantz, but he was not at home or work, police said. Officers were unable to located Glantz. 

A report will be filed with the Napa County District Attorney’s Office for this case including a criminal complaint for domestic violence against Glantz, police said.
