Napa Sheriff's Office Seeks Berryessa Burglars

Have you seen the two men or the vehicle in these photos? They are wanted in a series of smash-and-grab auto burglaries at Lake Berryessa, according to sheriff's authorities who say 46-year-old suspect Matthew L. Allen was arrested today in Vallejo.

 

The is looking for the public's help in catching two men suspected of taking part in a series of auto burglaries in the Lake Berryessa area, according to an announcement from Capt. Tracey Stuart:

On July 7, 2012, between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, several window smash car burglaries occurred along Hwy 128 near Monticello Dam, at a parking area known as Party Point, in Napa County.

Recently, there have been several other window smash car burglaries around the Lake Berryessa area. 

Evidence led to the identity of one suspect, Matthew L. Allen, born 5/6/66.

On July 12, 2012, at about 7:45 am, Allen was contacted at his residence in Vallejo and was arrested for burglary, attempted auto theft, transportation of methamphetamine and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. 

Two additional suspects are being sought in connection with this investigation. 

Due to information from witnesses, and other evidence, the Sheriff’s Office is close to identifying the remaining suspects, but needs assistance from the public. 

Two suspects pictured in the attached photo, wearing black tee shirts at the counter, are associated with the suspect (Allen). 

The suspect vehicle, a 2000 white Ford Expedition towing a blue and white boat is also pictured.
