Napa Sex Offender Arrested Again

Accused last month of scamming more than a dozen Napa Valley wineries while posing as a doctor, registered sex offender Gregory Evans now faces additional charges, according to Napa police.

Gregory Evans is in more trouble with the law.

Last week, we reported that on suspicion of scamming 13 Napa Valley wineries out of money and products by claiming he was a prominent doctor or veterinarian.

Friday, the registered sex offender was arrested again, according to a summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

On 11-30-2012, at 1645hrs Evans was contacted at the Probation Department by an NPD Investigator who spoke with him about contacting several woman in Brentwood, CA and providing them with a fake name.

He also attended an Oktoberfest celebration and identified himself as a veterinarian to participants and children.

Evans is a sex registrant who was never registered under any other name than Gregory Evans. Evans was arrested and booked at NCDC.

Evans faces charges including false impersonation, failing to register a name change with authorities and committing a felony while on bail, police said.
