Napa Police Vs. Napa Fire Hoops Tourney Tonight

The 5th annual Napa Police vs. Napa Fire "Hoops to Stop Youth Violence" basketball game is being held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Vintage High School gym.

Smokeys BBQ will be catering the event. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for prevention and intervention programs within thecommunity to reduce different forms of violence. Proceeds from past games have helped support:

Napa Sheriffs' Activities League
DARE
Napa Valley Film Festival
Napa High Fire ROP program
Napa High Spirit Leaders
LAYLA (Leadership Academy Youth Leaders in Action)
Napa High Bike Club

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event. You need not be present to win.

Raffle items collected so far include several themed gift baskets (movie night, skin care, wine/massage, garden, Starbucks, Hello Kitty, wine/pasta, chocolate/wine, chocolate) as well as gift cards to restaurants, retail stores, Exertec (two month membership for two) and a private tour and tasting at St. Supery Estate Vineyards. Raffle tickets are 1 for $1, 12 for $10 and 30 for $20.

"Hoops to Stop Youth Violence" T-shirts will be on sale this year. T-Shirts are $12 for youth sizes and $15 for adult sizes.
