Napa Police: "Very Nervous" Bicyclist Had Meth When Jailed

A Napa man was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine Friday night after he was stopped by police as he rode his bicycle, according to an arrest summary.

Napa Special Enforcement Unit officers arrested a 42-year-old man they say had a pipe with methamphetamine as well as more of the drug discovered when he was booked at the jail, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

On 1/18/2013 at about 2149hrs SEU officers contacted Juan Herrera on a bicycle on Pearl St near Yajome Street.

Herrera appeared to be very nervous. He was in possession of a glass smoking pipe with black and white crystal residue consistent with smoking methamphetamine. The pipe had a usable amount of methamphetamine in the bulb.
