Napa Police Thwart Alleged Attempt to Steal Mountain Bike

A Napa man and woman were arrested this week on suspicion of felony grand theft and conspiracy and giving false information to police officers after Napa Police allegedly caught them walking away with a mountain bike that had been parked and chained at the Marriott on Solano Avenue.

Joseph Allen Dewitt, 21, and Kelsie Jordan Fallin, 19, were taken into custody at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday at the Marriott at 3225 Solano Ave., Napa.

Officers were dispatched to the area of the Marriott on Solano Avenue in regard to a report of a subject tampering with bikes chained outside the building.

Officers located a male and female subject walking away from the area with a “Specialized” mountain bike (value of $1,200).

The male allegedly lied about who he was but later confessed to being Joseph Dewitt. He also had a warrant under his real name.

The female was identified as Kelsie Fallin.  Dewitt admitted to stealing the bike.

Officers determined that Dewitt and Fallin had conspired to steal the bike.
