Napa Police: "Super Drunk" Man Attacks with Car, Pick, Axe

The latest arrests from the Napa Police Department.

A Napa man was arrested on a string of charges following a violent rampage Wednesday afternoon, according to a shift activity log released Thursday afternoon by the :

On 5-25-11 at approximately 1515 hours, Ricardo Huesca Solano (5/30/88) of 200 Roosevelt was driving around town in his Honda super drunk.

For unknown reasons he took a disliking to some folks standing in front of 1315 Laurel St, and Ricardo tried to run a victim down with his car, but missed and hit a house knocking the chimney loose.

Ricardo fled the area, but returned as a passenger in a white SUV. Ricardo had a pick and used the pointy end to puncture the hood and fender of the prior victim’s truck as they drove by at a slow speed.

The pick got stuck in the truck, and Ricardo again fled. A citizen witnessed the vandalism to the victim’s truck and notified police.

The citizen followed Ricardo and continued to update police. Ricardo noticed he was being followed and threatened the citizen with an axe.

Officers caught up to the SUV in the area of Hilltop and Roosevelt and Ricardo was taken into custody.

He was booked into for assault with a deadly weapon, dissuading a witness, vandalism, hit & run and violation of probation.

Tuesday evening, police arrested a Napa woman for domestic violence and vandalism spurred by jealousy, according to the log:

On 5-24-11 at approximately 2245 hours, Zenia Ledesma (19) confronted her ex-boyfriend at the Napa Bowl located on Soscol Ave. Ledesma believes the ex-boyfriend is in a new relationship. During the confrontation, Ledesma assaulted the ex-boyfriend and later vandalized a car. Ledesma was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and vandalism.

Early Thursday, police made an arrest for possession of a controlled substance, according to the log:

On 5-26-11 at approximately 0130 hours, officers contacted Carlos Rodriguez on California Blvd at Lincoln Ave. Rodriguez was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested.

A search of his person revealed he was in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.

Rodriguez was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, under the influence, and violation of probation.
