Napa Police Say 12 Arrested in DUI Push
Saturation enforcement over the holiday weekend led to 12 arrests for DUI, according to the Napa Police Department. A traffic fatality late Saturday was not considered a DUI death.
From 12:01 a.m. Friday, May 25 through midnight Monday, May 28, officers representing five Napa County law enforcement agencies arrested 12 people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to a press release from Sgt. Paul Paniagua of the .
In 2011, 11 DUI arrests occurred during the same holiday weekend, Paniagua said.

There were no DUI deaths over the weekend, Paniagua said, although there was one fatal injury collision east of Napa ("").
Law enforcement officials will be conducting more anti-DUI efforts throughout the county and region during the Fourth of July holiday period and an 18-day campaign in August ending Labor Day weekend, Paniagua said.
