Napa Police: Pot Patient Busted for Possession

He had a medical marijuana card as well as a scale, cash and text messages about selling pot, police say. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A 23-year-old Napa man with a medical marijuana card was arrested shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday after consenting to a search that turned up not only his medical stash, but evidence that he was selling it, according to a shift activity log released by the :

Officers contacted Philip Brown (23) in the 1800 block of Brown St.

During the contact Brown admitted to being in possession of marijuana, but had a medical marijuana card. Brown consented to a search of his person.

Officers located marijuana, a scale, small bill denominations, and text messages refering to the sales of drugs.

Brown was also found to be in possession of concentrated cannabis.

He was arrested and booked at the  for possession of marijuana for sale and possession of concentrated cannabis, according to the log.
