Napa Police Post Surveillance Cameras at 'Triangle'

Napa Police Department has temporarily placed two surveillance cameras on the roof of the United Methodist Church to monitor potential criminal activity in the public right of way known as the “Triangle Park.”

"The Triangle" is located on Franklin and Division Street. The cameras were placed on the roof by Napa Police Department personnel on Thursday with the assistance of the Napa Fire Department, according to an announcement Friday from Napa Police Department.

United Methodist Church, at 625 Randolph St., was responsive to the request for surveillance cameras in this park because they want to ensure the safety of the neighboring area and are cooperating with the Police Department in efforts to deter criminal activity in the area, according to the police announcement.

The cameras will assist in providing evidence in identifying crimes occurring in this area and those responsible for committing crimes.
