Pawn Slips Lead to Browns Valley Burglary Suspect's Arrest, Napa Police Say

Justin Lizak, 28, was arrested Thursday after Napa police investigators traced him through pawn-shop receipts for property stolen in a Browns Valley burglary, according to Napa police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Napa police didn't have to look far for a suspect in a recent Browns Valley burglary, according to a bulletin from Capt. Jeff Troendly of the City of Napa Police Department:

On October 25, 2012 at 3:20 p.m., Justin Lizak (28yrs of Napa) was arrested after an investigation determined he was responsible for a burglary that occurred in the 3300 blk of Twin Oaks Dr.

Lizak was identified as a suspect in the burglary after Investigators reviewed pawn slips from three different local pawn shops in Napa.

Approximately $500 - $1000 worth of property was recovered from the pawn shops.

Lizak was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of burglary and of possessing drug paraphernalia when he was arrested, Troendly said.
