Napa Police Say Woman Stabbed Boyfriend to Death

Robyn Kathleen Gevas, 36, was arrested at 4 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of fatally stabbing 62-year-old Callie Joshua Evans in a home on Euclid Avenue, according to this report from Napa police.

 

A 36-year-old woman was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of murdering her 62-year-old boyfriend on Euclid Avenue in Napa, according to a press release from Sgt. Chase Haag of the City of Napa Police Department investigations division:

On July 11, 2012 at approximately 10:29 PM, Napa Police Officers were dispatched to a stabbing inside a residence in the 2000 block of Euclid Ave.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted Robyn Gevas, age 36, at the residence.

Officers determined Gevas stabbed her boyfriend, Callie Evans, age 62, multiple times during a domestic dispute.

Medical personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to the Queen of the Valley Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Gevas was immediately detained at the residence and later transported to the Napa Police Department.

Members of the Napa County Major Crimes Task Force (comprised of the Napa Police Department, Napa County Sheriff’s Office and the Napa County District Attorney’s Office) assisted with the investigation.

At 4:00 AM, Gevas was transported and booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections for Murder.

Gevas was also booked on suspicion of using of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, according to the police report.

According to Capt. Tracey Stuart of the Napa County Sheriff's Office, which includes the coroner's department, an autopsy of Evans's body is tentatively scheduled for Monday.
