Napa Police: More Funny Money at Pizza Shop

Arrest information from the City of Napa Police Department does not indicate a conviction.

Napa police have arrested a second man, 28-year-old Manuel Alfaro Vega, for to buy food at , according to a shift activity log released Monday by the :

On 7-30-2011 Vega went into Papa Joes Pizza and used a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill to purchase food items.

He left the business but the transaction was captured by surveillance video. A NPD Officer recognized Vega as the suspect.

The Officer located Vega and interviewed him about the incident. 

Vega was evasive but later admitted to being in the business and using a $100 bill to purchase items.

Vega is on active parole. 

Vega was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections on a parole hold and for burglary and passing a counterfeit bill.

His arrest follows for passing fake money at Papa Joe's, according to police.

Funny money also turned up outside city limits over the weekend: The American Canyon Eagle reports that the Napa County Sheriff's Office arrested an 18-year-old man for trying to use a counterfeit $100 bill at the American Canyon flea market.
