Napa Police: Man Arrested with Burglary Tools Downtown

Julian Ramos, 28, was jailed Friday night after Special Enforcement Unit officers spotted him trying to avoid them, according to the Napa Police Department. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A 28-year-old Napa man was arrested Friday night on suspicion of possessing burglary tools and violating probation, according to a shift activity log from the : 

On 09/08/2012 Special Enforcement Unit Officers were in the area of Clinton St. at Main St. when they observed a subject, RAMOS, Julian (28yrs/Napa), they know from prior contacts near a vehicle. 

They went to contact Ramos and as they approached he attempted to avoid detection by hiding behind one of the vehicles. 

A large screwdriver was located in his pocket and a set of bolt cutters was located near the car where he hid. 

Ramos also appeared to have been consuming alcohol in violation of the terms of his Napa County Probation. 

Ramos was booked at the , police said. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

This makes more sense than the nvr-sion. The nvr-sion reported that a set of "bold cutters" were found. (Hey, for $10 per month, whadya expect-....increased quality ?). I'm glad that the shy cutters were also found, even if the shy cutters were bolt cutters. I've always found the "bold" cutters to be rather pushy.
