Napa Police Log: Wednesday's Arrests

A Napa man residing in the 700 block of Joseph Court was jailed Wednesday for burglary, possession of stolen property and violating his probation, according to a media log released Thursday by the :

A family member of James Cull reported that he discovered several items missing from his vehicle, which had been left locked in the driveway of the above residence. A few days after the discovery of the burglary, the family member found some of the stolen property in Cull’s bedroom. Cull was arrested and booked.

Also Wednesday, according to the log, a Napa woman was arrested for possession of a controlled narcotic substance, possession of a controlled susbstance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, violation of probation and possession of paraphernalia:

On 5-11-11 at about 1010 hours, Christina Vieu, 3-31-67, Napa resident, was contacted in the 2100 block of West Pueblo.  During the contact, she was seen dropping a small baggy containing suspected methamphetamine. She admitted to having a methamphetamine smoking pipe in her purse and admitted to last smoking methamphetamine one day prior. During the ensuing search of her property, a controlled prescribed pill was located. She was arrested on the above charges and booked.

Wednesday afternoon, 49-year-old transient Mitchell Edward Martinelli was arrested for domestic battery, false imprisonment, criminal threats, violation of probation and a parole hold, according to the police log:

Martinelli got into a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend, in front of her mother. During the argument, he grabbed the victim and threw her into a wall and refused to let her leave the residence (an apartment in the 2500 block of Laurel Avenue). After police were called, Martinelli left the residence and as he was leaving yelled at his roommate that he was going to (come) back and kill him. 

Police located Martinelli at First Street and California Boulevard about an hour after the 3 p.m. altercation and arrested him, according to the log.
