Napa Police Log: Recent City Arrests

Arrests reported by the City of Napa Police Department over the past week include an alleged forger and both male and female domestic violence suspects. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

Napa police arrested a 31-year-old Napa man Thursday night on suspicion of felony burglary and forgery after he reportedly tried to pass a bad check at a local market, according to a shift activity log from the City of Napa Police Department:

Officers responded to a reported fraud in progress at a store located at the 2400 block of Jefferson Street. The alleged responsible, Alfonso Hernandez Montoya 12-11-81. was located nearby. It was determined that he had forged a signature on a check believed to be fraudulent. He was arrested and booked at NCDC.

A 28-year-old Napa man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to a shift activity log from the City of Napa Police Department: At about 1:25 a.m., police said,

Officers responded to a family disturbance call at the 100 block of Valley Oak Dr. A female VICTIM alleged William Thomas 06-22-84 had assaulted her. Thomas was arrested and booked at NCDC. The VICTIM'S injuries were minor in nature.

At about 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, a 38-year-old Napa man was jailed on suspicion of felony burglary for shoplifting from a grocery store in the Westwood neighborhood, police said:

Officers responded to the area of the La Familia Market on Kilburn Ave in regard to a theft from the store. The alleged responsible, Jason Burr 02-27-74 was located nearby. He was arrested and booked at NCDC. 

A 26-year-old Napa woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of domestic battery while her husband was charged with vandalism following a reported conflict at around 12:45 Sunday, according to police:

On 10-7-12 NPD Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West Imola Ave to a reported assault. Upon arrival officers contacted Guadalupe Hernandez (26 year old Napa resident) and her husband, Victim. The investigation revealed that Guadalupe assaulted Victim causing a visible injury. Victim reportedly vandalized Guadalupe’s vehicle. Guadalupe was arrested, transported and booked into NCDC without incident. Charges were filed against Victim for the reported vandalism.

About an hour later, police arrested a reported drunk on Main Street, according to the log:

On 10-7-12 NPD Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street to a reported unwanted subject causing a disturbance. Upon arrival officers contacted Ray Scott (26 year old Napa resident). Ray was found to be on felony probation with numerous terms including not to possess or drink alcohol. Ray displayed obvious signs of intoxication and was arrested. Ray was transported and booked into NCDC.   

Saturday at about 6:15 p.m., a 54-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and committing a felony while out on bail, which is also a felony, police said:

A NPD Officer conducted a traffic stop near Carolina St / Soscol Ave. The driver Wally Rogers 09-26-58 was found in possession of a glass pipe that contained a useable quantity of suspected Methamphetamine. He was arrested and booked at NCDC.
